Can you help me fix my new gas grill?

Is it possible a part could be installed backwards or upside down? With the instructions they give you for assembly that is very possible.Or wrong parts were shipped in the box. Check the end of the wire as it might have been crushed. Also you can use an awl to widen the opening to the wire a little. Sometimes they are a very tight fit but yes they are supposed to slip right on. Check your frame to see if maybe you have two of the same ends or like I said maybe upside down.I've done that before when assembling BBQs for display at the store.And yes I can follow directions, It's just Char-Broil has a gazillion parts and no pre assembly at the factory. Instructions are not easy to follow for anyone sometimes.
