Accedently broiled brownies?

I just tried to make brownies but when i checked on them after 25 minutes, they were hard on the ourside but uncooked on the outside. I realized that i left the knob on broil. How can i fix them?

We are great friends with our neighbors, but are kids don't always get along. What should we do?

My child is 10 and our very good friends have an 8 yr old. At times they get along well, mainly when it's just the 2 of them. My child's issues can be hogging his turn and being bossy and when other kids are there, he may leave him out. The other child's issues are that he is controlling, threatens to leave, takes away his stuff, or tells to get them in trouble. Both kids take their turn instigating. His parent's suggest if the other children are bullying him, then he should hit them. This solution doesn't usually match the situation. When he tattles on the neighborhood kids so much they don't want him around. It's so frustrating because we try to let the kids work it out themselves, and it's just not helping. Also, it's putting stress on the relationship we have with our very good friends.

I am going to be a senior in high school this upcoming school year. I am leaning toward majoring in physics in college. I would like to work with fiber optics, so would this be the best undergrad major for me to pursue? I know it will be tough, but i really enjoy physics and math. honestly any other option would be better than the ibr/icr plans! you can get a deferment or forbearance, or there could be other options to lower your payments depending on your servicer. on the income based plan you might qualify for a zero dollar monthly payment or other lower payment options. and if the laon isn't paid off within 25 years it gets forgiven... so it sounds like a dream come true... but you need to qualify every year. if at some point you don't qualify you get thrown back onto the standart repayment... and all that interest that you didn't pay will be added on to principle. so if you ever plan on getting a better job within the next 25 years... avoid this option at all costs or that 300 dollar payment can easily turn into a 3000 dollar payment.

Are Virgo Moon girls usually really rude?

Since virgo is so mental and critical they sometimes crack these horrible jokes just because the thought popped in their heads. I know 6 of them. 2 of them are family members. Im going to high school next year and I'm a girl. Ok, so my bestfriend is actually not very nice to me. In fact she is mean and bossy. Frigidaire wall oven suddenly not working.?

My Frigidaire wall oven suddenly stopped working. When I turn both dials to "bake" then suddenly the light works, the clock works but when I turn the dials to off position everything doesn't work again. Are there fuses in this oven? I checked the manual but don't see any solution. Also when I turn the dials to bake the elements don't work either. I have changed elements in ovens before, but it seems odd they would both stop working at same time. It happened right after I broiled something. Was working fine then nothing.

Personally I think u need to be eating more. Eat lots of pasta and rice. lots of meat like chicken and lots of fresh fruit and veg. Only drink fat free squashes and fizzy the excercise is very good though. If u eat too little u will starve yourself then have a massive binge! Hope this helps

She gets mad at my female friends because i have a lot of fun with them joking around. My other Leo friend, she likes my sag friend, who thinks shes annoying as hell. For some reason I tend to make good friends with the overachieving, type A, bossy type. It's so funny & I recently had this epiphany LOL..anyway, I don't like anyone bossing me around...especially if they are not an authority over me & they're just my friend. So I have been finding one of my friends is pushy/manipulates to try to get her way. Normally, I'd fall for it but I'm learning to develop a backbone, and I simply said no to the last thing she tried to make me do her way. Now she is acting hostile toward me because she doesn't understand why I couldn't do it. Another friend is just really bossy...not really manipulative on an emotional level, just bossy lol...and if someone asks me something nicely I'm more inclined to do it, but if they just give me an to do list of something to do, I can't deal with that approach. So again, I said no to the last thing she told me based on how she told me. In both of those situations, I could have done it but I don't want to send the message they can boss me around. I mean, I really do value these two friends for a lot of other reasons. They are rare in terms of their core values and their pursuits on life, etc...so what do I do? Ugh can someone explain what is wrong with this picture (friends)?

I have friend #1 who divorced and single, but very sweet and agreeable. Friend #2 is married but her husband is her whipping boy...meaning he goes along with everything she wants to do and they pretend money and time are no objects...friend #3 is the direct/bossy friend who is married, works full time, goes to grad school, and has two kids. She has high expectations of herself and of everyone else. I am a stay at home mom with two kids and my husband works 60-70 hours a week, one hour away (commute). So friend #3 tries to plan a birthday party for friend #1 (keep in mind she is turning 32 so she's no little kid), but she creates the terms for this party, and it just doesn't work for me because of my family so I suggest different terms. Friend #2 looks like the good guy and says oh yeah I'll do whatever you want! Friend #3 gets mad at me and says we are best friends and we have never thrown a party for friend #1 so she figured we could do it. (None of us have ever thrown a party for any of us so where did that come from?). Friend #2 says oh yeah I agree and I'm down with that. I say well I tried to tell you when and what I could do, but we are still friends and still have quality time together, and isn't that good enough? Ackward silence...

Should I let my daughter go to a concert with her best friend's mother and her?

I took my daughter to the AP Tour to see Black Veil Brides and noticed I See Stars started a mosh pit. Now I See Stars is coming back to the same concert venue. She's been begging me to take her for the last two months, so I know she's dying to go. She mentioned it when her best friend was at our house the other day. Her friend said her mom would take both of them since they were planning on going also. I know her mom is very active in the church and a loyal Christian, but I don't know her too well. We've had conversations, so she's not a complete stranger. I'm still a little worried that my daughter's friend will get her to do something at that concert. Her friend has taken drugs and listens to bands like Blood On The Dance Floor. I'm afraid she'll get my daughter to use drugs or lose her virginity or something like that. Ipad 2, Laptop? Ahhh!?

So I have a deliema. I am going into college in the fall 2011 and I was planning on getting a laptop via my money I got from relatives and help from my parents as my grad present. But lately I have really been looking into geting an ipad, this is because they are sweet and I was planning on getting a new ipod touch before college but I know someone with an ipad and I think it could come in hady a lot more than a new ipod (but a lot more $$$), i would use it both for books and another way to take notes in class and record lectures and even just play some games... But I also want to get a good laptop as a more homework thing to type on and such... I have a laptop now also but it barely has any memory and isn't suited for college life (about 3 to 4 years old, out to date and sort of slow). I am already looking into getting a nice laptop at about a $600 range and I have a job to pay for the ipad but I feel bad about spending the money on something like that. Even though I do have coupons and giftcards so the ipad 2 when I actually did buy it would be around $350 (not including tax)..... When barbecuing tenderloin in a gas grill, wrap in foil or let it drip?

It's our first time owning a barbecue grill. It's propane. We got this big tenderloin roast that looks like the worm baby from The Fly, gonna cut it in half and barbecue it tonight. But it's pretty fatty, and my experience with broiling meat tells me it will drip a lot of juices. So should I put a sheet of foil under it? Wrap it in foil? Or just let it drip?

Should we call corp office on dog trainer? Help!?

My Mom got her dog trained at Petsmart. She went through puppy class and graduated. Upon grad, the trainer asked if she wanted to repeat the class or be promoted to intermediate. My Mom chose to sign up for interm because the trainer said she graduated. Duh! We then decided to bring our 3 year old terrier to training who had been through Petsmart puppy class but never graduated because of the trainer at the other store's incompetency and some issues. I worked with him myself. Both of them last night were hungry and bored and didn't cooperate. Suddenly, the trainer told us to get out and that both dogs had to go back to puppy class. When we tried to get a refund, he jumped out of the training room and started telling the manager not to give a refund and that we needed to wait and take the class in a few months and they will hold our money on file with our receipt. I think he had no right to tell my Mom and the manager what to do and if we wanted a refund, we could have gotten it (Petsmart's policy). Should we just go back to that trainer (both dogs do need training, but NOT from him!) or call corporate office and fuss?

I think you've got a fair point, I'm a bit like your girlfriend. I find it extremely difficult to control myself when I'm drunk and I've cheated when I'm drunk and it ruined mine and my ex boyfriend's relationship. I understand your concern, but dont be too controlling because girls dont like it when guys are controlling. I think you guys should talk. Tell her your concerns and if she respect you and wants to make the relationship work maybe she will cut down on her drinking. I know it must be hard to trust her when she's drunk. I really dont want your gf to end up in the same boat as me, getting drunk and cheating and losing a great guy. If she cant trust her when she drinks (I dont think she can if she thinks that she may cheat) I think she needs to cut down, especially if she cares about you an wants your relationship to work. It is a hard one because she's young and probably just wants to have fun, but then again too much alcohol clouds your judgement and makes you make a lot of mistakes. Use my story for an example; a girl who keep getting drunk and cheating on her boyfriend and then she's paying the price when they break up and cant get over it knowing it was her fault. There's nothing wrong with getting drunk, but if she wants to make things work with you I think she needs to keep a limit where she can still have fun, but be in control at the same time. 6 year old trouble, please help! I am at my wits end!?

Why has the oven (both bake and broil) on my electric range oven stopped working?

This is the second time this has happened this year! The first time it happened we simply replaced our older appliance with a slightly newer, used one. This one is a GE and has no clock or any self-cleaning controls. It just has the 4 range/burner controls with a single oven control in the middle, which controls both oven temperature and broil. Neither the broil nor baking features work at all, and the indicator light does not come on when I turn on the oven. The range seems to be working fine, however. What's the problem? And why has it happened more than once so recently? We live in a very old house, and I'm concerned about the old wiring. Could there be surges or failures causing this?

I would never put the brisket in a crock pot unless you want to cook it for 3 days. If you do it WILL be rubbery. It needs more intense heat. Bring the brisket to a boil and turn down to a slow simmer on the stove top for 8/10 hours. Save your crock pot for a pork roast.

The easiest thing is to put them into a pan with a couple of tablespoons of water and then cover with foil. Heat them for about 20 min. in the oven.

Why would fast food burgers be bad/cause acne if they are char-broiled and not fried?

Because of the fat content in the burgers, how they are cooked is irrelevant if they are packed with fat and preservatives and unnatural ingredients . Most people will use an 80/20 meat which means 80% lean 20% fat , that's the normal for say a burger . But fast food places don't want to spend the money on that and it is cheaper to do a higher fat content.. Because the burgers are just so packed with unnatural things and junk they have side effects on your body and therefore your skin.

How to part your hair?

Okay, so pretty much I used to part straighten and my hair far to the left until like 10th grade. Pretty much all through 11th grade I didn't really part it that well, and I just sort of let it sit there and my bangs just sort of flop over. My Roommate Wants to get a Dog?

So, my roommate and I are 2 single guys living in an apartment in the city. My roommate wants to get a dog and I am not sure this is a good idea. My roommate is flat broke all the time; he’s even borrowing rent money from me every month until the middle of the month. I had a serious talk with him about finding more income so he can start paying his share of the rent ON TIME. Now he wants “us” to get a 10-month-old puppy. Try greasing your pan slightly (not butter)!!!!! Use like a vegetable oil because it has a higher flash point and will not burn as butter will. also check your oven sometimes it will run hotter or cooler than what it says, i usually don't even go by the what it says anymore because its wrong most of the time. I use a little inexpensive thermometer to place in the oven and go by that. This way you know for sure.

How can I lose this weight?

I am 15 years old, 6' 3" and weigh 237lbs with a body fat percentage of 27% and I want to lose as much weight as possible over the summer. I do not drink soda and drink atleast a gallon of water a day with some tea and milk during breakfast and dinner. I take vitamin c, specifically 1000mg of it a day for my immune system and blood, and a flaxseed pill which I believe had something to do with my fibrosis of the liver which I believe is no more. I eat a normal breakfast (cereal, milk, bagels, toast, fruits etc.) I have healthy lunches usually (soup, salads, fruit, light sandwiches, etc...) and my family typically gives me healthy dinners which are broiled grilled or steamed when it comes to it. Chicken and broccoli, fish and rice, dishes that are natural yet flavored by peppers and such. That should about cover any information needed. My question is, how do I lose this weight? I mean my ideal goal would be to lose every percentage of fat but what do I do? Please someone just give me a routine or something to follow any information. Is it too late for you to withdraw? You might want to look into that. If not, though, I don't think it'll be a dealbreaker. There's usually a place on the application where you can clarify any issues in your academic record. You can just explain that you wanted to stretch yourself, but you got in over your head despite your best efforts and the experience really reaffirmed that [chosen program] was what you were meant to do. They'll probably conclude that themselves if it's a total outlier compared to the rest of your record, but it helps to give your side of the story. (Alternatively, you could retake the class or at least take a similar elective that's more forgiving to non-science majors, but I don't think it's worth it if there's other stuff you need/want to take instead.)

Sure. The way you put it you should have no problem, especially with the masters background. Don't just tell the graduate committee how you plan to be a scholar at their university, show them. When (not if) you land an interview or candidate interview show the graduate committee what you have learned through your master's program. Hopefully your master's was a thesis based due to the shear backup power on knowledge you will have, and tell them how you are going to use what you have learned and performed scholastically to the next level. If you are going in for your Ph.D. really think about how you are going tell them the directions you are heading or plan to head. If you have had the opportunity in working on a thesis tell the committees how you are committed to academic excellence in your field and specialty. For example, I graduated with bachelor of science in mathematics back in 2008. For many many months there was no job that I could find. Then I gave up hunting for job and instead decided to pursue master's in math. When I heard news by the phony Obama circle that "job market is picking up", I started to apply for job. I questioned why 13.50 an hour only and the recruiter said in an apologetic tone, "this is all we can offer. times are tough". After some more conversation I discovered that it is a "temp" job. Then after some more conversation I also discovered that, "training will not be paid. first 4 weeks is training". So he is saying that for the first 160 hours I work free because training is not paid. And then its also a temp job. I thought after 160 free hours, he will just say "its temp job so its over now" and take a lot of work. I refused the offer.

I'm originally from Bangladesh, a small country in South Asia. Actually, my parents are from there. I was born in Italy. But my roots are from there. I went there a month ago to see my sick granddad. She has to work because her husband either can't find a job or is TOO lazy to work! And the rest of the 99% of women don't even get the chance to work because if they work they APPARENTLY will become DISOBEDIENT to their husbands and fathers and become too smart. They stay home and lick their husbands feet and tolerate their BS. The average Bangladeshi woman is dependent on their male relatives their whole entire life, from birth till death. From birth till maturity she is dependent upon her father. After that she is married off & is therefore is dependent upon her husband. And when her husband is old and retires she is dependent upon her son (if she has one). In marriages, the girl has to go live in her husband's parents house where she serves her husband & in laws, especially her mother and father in law. After that she is pressured by husband & in-laws to give birth to a son. I have seen guys go as far as divorcing their wives and marrying new ones because their ex wives have failed to give birth to a son. The women have no say in public matters and society related issues. They are are usually told to shut up because they "don't know anything". I am horribly disgusted with this disgusting attitude towards women and relieved at the same time because I am lucky enough to not be in their shoes. I want to know why these women are so subjugated and oppressed. I really don't understand. Thank u to people who have decided to read my long and rather boring rant! I cant believe that your mother is being like that. She should be proud of you for graduating, not freaking out over you missing out by 1%! Yes you may be bummed about this 1%, but don't skip graduation over it. You will only graduate from high school once, don't miss the experience of the ceremony. Just tell yourself that you did your best, and that you made it to graduation, unlike other people who don't. I hate my best friend?

Ok so i think i hate my best friend. she weighs about 80 kilos and i weigh about 60 and shes always complaining to me about how fat and ugly she is and how i should help her get a boyfriend (even though she doesnt even like anyone) and then turns around and tells me she doesnt care about me and my problems and I have to help her first. She also used to like my boyfriend and keeps on whining that i stole him off her even though he never liked her. I have a controlling friend?

I've known her my whole life. And even as kids, she was very bossy. I mean, i never really liked her, but our parents are best friends and we do a lot together. And she's a total ***** and I honestly don't know why I still hangout with her. She always brings me down, and we always do whatever she wants to. We've fought a lot last year but this year, I kept everything inside and I just need to let it all out. It's not like we don't have fun when we hangout. I do, but I'm sick and tired of her being so bitchy all the time and being a spoiled brat. She always brags about how 'smart' she is and she always calls me the 'stupid one'. If I said that I thought I did pretty good on a test and I felt pretty smart, she looks at me weird and says 'But you're not smart'. I don't have many friends so if I drop her, I won't really have anyone left. I don't like talking to other people, I think I have social anxiety. She also makes fun of how lonely I am and how I don't have friends. When I want to go somewhere, but she wants to go to another she says ' I don't care. You can go there alone if you want. But I'm not going there.' and then she starts to walk the other way and I just end up going with her. Also, she's so effing lazy. Our sleepovers now is her on her laptop on her bed, and she hands me another laptop and thats all we do. Like wtf? Thats not a sleepover, I can do that at home, and still have more fun. Towards my sister, she acts all nice and sweet, and hugs her and all that ****. Once my sister leaves, she turns around and just acts like a total ***** again. She acts nice to everyone but me and my other friend. Let's call the ***** Lisa and my other friend Sarah. Lisa has pretty big chest and Sarah doesn't. And Lisa always teases Sarah about it, like 'My boobs are sore today' and then she looks over at Sarah and says 'You wouldn't know. You dont even have boobs.' And I have like, the same size as Lisa and she would still make somewhat of a same comment to me. She also says that Sarah is too skinny and its disgusting just cause she isn't as skinny. And she always makes fun of her other friend how fat she is behind her back. But if someone is skinny she calls them anorexic. And she always calls me a *****. Like 'Get over here, *****' 'Where is that *****?' and she always makes me feel invisible. Like, im standing RIGHT there and she's like 'Where is that *****? Oh, you're here? I didnt see you.' Friendship problems, help?

So i have two friends, and in class we're known as the best friend trio. I'll be referring to them here as L and D. I was best friends with L for a year before we became friends with D; so I know L longer is friends with her more. Now, D just came into our friendship, and we let her join in...so she was our friend. But now, she keeps on being bossy, like telling us what to do, and I don't mean to sound mean, but she's turning bitchy. She gets mad when I get better grades when her when it's not my fault- isn't her grades her responsibility? Then me, being the stubborn and hot tempered person I am, would always argue with her. Then when I get a grade that isn't failing, but something below what I usually get (90-100), she would laugh and rub it in my face. When I talk to L about something she would always interrupt and get L's attention (and no, not like flirting attention lol, they're both girls) and then she would try to get in the convo. I had a fight a few months ago because she got mad that I got better grades than her and she felt that I was competitive when I'm not. True it is that I try to get good grades, but if I don't then I just accept it and try to get a higher grade. L was trying to stay neutral, but after a week or so, she confessed to me that she was on my side but didn't want to hurt D's feelings. D is basically, becoming a totally different person. When I talk with my other friends she gets mad, like possessive almost. When I play cards in class (since it's summer, we barely do learning in class now) she gets mad that I play with other people, but well, I have other friends. L understands that I have a social life and hang out with other people but D just wants me to hang out with her and her only. What should I do?

So i have a stupid Samsung Reclaim (i hate this phone, it has bad graphics, and volume, and picture, and just everythimg sucks.) Anyways, I didnt even get to pick out my phone, as my mom got the cheapest phone through this really cheap awful Bell plan at her work. Anyways, my brother is getting like a f*cking blackberry (hes my twin) for his graduation present, when i got mymphone dor my burthday in may LAST YEAR. (2010). Im really mad. Also, for some reason, my phone will NOT show my sent messages ever since 6 months ago. Is really irritating forgetting what i text the person if they take a while to respond. Also, my phone is SO messed up thatmit sometimes freezes for no reason, and i sometimes dont recieve peoples texts. So they usually are texting me for like 5 hours then at midnight i get a text from people saying "wow thanks for ignoring me." And i cant live with this phone it drives me insane. Please help me to convince my parents i want a new phone for MY grad present too?

It takes two people to make a situation awkward. Work on being a fun, outgoing person, and dont be so judgemental. From what it sounds like, shes trying to grow a friendship with you and make conversation, but your not helping the conversation. Dont be such an overthinker, because if she keeps calling you, its obviously noy awkward for her. My grandma half cooked frozen sausages this morning. She stuck them in the fridge and they have been in there for 6 hours, half cooked. She now plans to " fully" cook them by broiling them in the oven. Are these safe to eat? Can I get food poisoning or anything like that by eating meat that was half cooked, refrigerated, and the cooked again? Thanks.

I wondering if there any state and federal laws against teachers attending the graduation parties of students because when I graduated from high school, I invited some of my teachers, who a few of came, to my graduation and recently someone told me they don't think that it's legal for them to attend graduation parties. I think that it's okay for them to attend as long as they try not influence the student that the grad party in any way but I want to be sure.

The gas apparently is not turned on. Turn the knob on a stove burner to ignite and see if you hear a clicking noise. The gas flow should also start and ignite. If you get the clicking but no ignition, turn to high and listen for gas flow. If you hear nothing, slide the drawer our from under the stove and look at the gas line. The petcock should be turned parallel to the gas line. If it is turned on, go check the valve at the gas meter. The egg shaped valve should be turned to match up with the valve body. If you still have no luck, call the gas company.

I actually have a refund that I saved (about $6k) to put toward the moving costs/dwn pymt. I'm in grad school right now but do you guys think my husband would go for moving here if I tell him I'll get a part time job to make up the difference in cost?

There is really no other way for you to stop being friends with her and to be honest, face her, and tell her you don't appreciate the way she treats you. The best way is to talk.
